Born in 1996 and of Colombian nationality, Carlota Sandoval Lizarralde lives and works in Paris. She graduated from Villa Arson (Nice) in 2021 and was awarded the Pierre Cardin Prize in Sculpture by the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
She has taken part in several residencies, including Hôtel de Craon (2025, La Rochelle), the Cité internationale des arts (2024, Paris), Ateliers Médicis (2024, Aude), the Consulat Voltaire (2023, Paris), Maison Artagon (2023, Loiret), and Villa Belleville (2022, Paris), among others. She is currently an artist-in-residence at Artagon in Pantin.
In 2025, her work is shown at La Villette, Magasins Généraux, the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, and Les Sheds in Pantin. As part of the Drawing Now art fair, she presents her solo exhibition Laisse la main cueillir in the Project Room of the Plateau/Frac Île-de-France (Paris).
In 2025, she receives both the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles Marraine Prize and the Sheds Prize for Contemporary Art in Pantin, and takes part in Art-o-rama (Marseille) with Galerie Suzanne Tarasiève and Galerie Fahmy-Malinovsky. This year, the city of Pantin acquires four of her works for its public collection.
